Legal Requirements

Dog Age

Is the dog over 8 weeks of age? Puppies cannot leave their mothers before 8 weeks of age.

Microchip Registration

Ensure the dog is already microchipped (legal requirment) and registered on an approved database. Get the certificate, and transfer ownership to record your contact details.

Dog License

Obtain a dog license from your local post office or online at licences.ie (€20 annually or €140 lifetime)
